Identity (I.D.) is RainbowYOUTH’s peer-support group for anyone 18-27 years old, who identifies as queer or gender diverse (LGBTIQ+).
What happens there?
I.D. is a fun, supportive and inclusive environment for you to meet new people, ask questions, get advice, enjoy snacks, and generally just chill.
We usually use the I.D. Facebook group to get updates about what things are happening during the next meeting. Whenever you interact with RainbowYOUTH – online or in a physical space, you deserve to be respected and treated fairly. That’s why in RainbowYOUTH Facebook pages or groups, we do not allow any online harassment or bullying.
When and where we meet:
Check out the calendar on the RY website to find out when the next meeting is: https://www.ry.org.nz/calendar/
Coming along once doesn’t commit you to anything; some people come to every meeting and some come when they can – it doesn’t matter. You’re always welcome!
I.D. has facilitators that lead each meeting, run activities and make sure things run smoothly. You can get in touch with them by emailing [email protected]
I.D. has been meeting for over a decade! And like all RY groups, I.D. is totally drug, smoke and alcohol free.
